MBPIS GCh. Pekeapug's Wise Guy. The FIRST Black Pug in Canada to achieve his Grand Championship. Leo was the black pug to change the hearts of many that black pugs can be amazing. Leo was # 3 pug in Canada in 2012, # 6 in 2013 and the year we lost Leo he ended up # 3 Pug. When he passed he was #2. We lost Leo tragically while with his handler on the east coast of Canada. Always in our hearts and on our minds.
Leo and Shannon
Leo and Shannon Scheer attended their first show together March 23, 2012 and knocked my socks off. They took BOS and BP on Friday and Saturday. They were not able to get by the fawns on Sunday, but they worked really well together. Shannon, Alana and Leo attended Chautauqua Dog show at Battleford, Sask, this proved to be Leo's show. Pictures are above show Leo's Group 1, 2 x Group 2 and BPIS pictures. At this show Leo took another group 3 and 5 out of 6 Best Puppy in Groups... Shannon, Alana and Leo were rocks stars!!!!

Ch. Pekeapug's Wise Guy, now a MBPIG Winner!!
We have attended three dogs shows with Leo, Calgary CKOC in December of 2011, handled by me, AKC in February of 2012, handled by Tracy Tuff and Prince Albert Kennel Club, handled by me. With the help of Tracy Tuff, Leo gained his Canadian Championship at the age of Nine months and 11 days... Thank you to judges, Neil Graves, Susan Badick and Cec Ringstrom for finding our special boy. Leo will be available for stud after he is 18 months old.
Leo & Tracy Tuff
February 2012 - Leo is pictured here with our good friend Tracy Tuff. This is the beginning of Leo's show career winning his first three points under Mr. Grant Townsend. We at Pekeapug are grateful for the love and support we have from Tracy. Tracy was able to handle Leo for us at AKC. With Tracy not showing much in 2012 we have chosen Shannon Scheer and Team to take over with the blessings of Tracy. Look forward to a wonderful year with Shannon & Team.
Leo is our newest addition, he is out Am/Can Ch. Dejo Black Tie Affair x Ch. Highland Kendoric Ice Storm. Leo began his show career with me showing him in December 2011, he took RWD in both shows in December. We at Pekeapug would like to be known as owner/handler, however, showing black pugs can be trying as they are not always looked at by the judges. When you have a dog this nice, a handler is called for so he gets looked at. Shannon Scheer, will be showing Leo in 2012. I will show him at odd shows, when Shannon & Team cannot make it. Keep checking back for Leo's accomplishments.
We thank Dagmar Skala for trusting us with a BIG part of Guinness!!!
