Dom has been placed with our friend Darcy, who lost a rescue pug Enzo (on this page as well) and loving every second of being an only dog and spoiled rotten. We are so pleased at how he takes on new adventures so wonderfully. He also has grandbabies on the ground, one which may come to Pekeapug....
Dom was purchased from breeder Steffi Miesl, from Germany. Dom is a multiple group placing, multiple best puppy in group placing as well. Dom is out of Am. Ch. Brindun's Blues Legend x Kesander's Black Beatrice. Dom is pointed in Canada, and only two points away from his Canadian Championship. Dom has three babies on the ground in Quebec Canada.

Pekeapug's Diamond in the Ruff - A Pekeapug placement RIP

Dakota is out of Abbey and Ian litter. We co bred this litter with Isabel Light. Isabel got 2 of the puppies, one Tiny and the other Logan. Tiny was sold as a pet and Logan as a show dog to California, unfortunately Logan died in an accident shortly after arriving. We kept Lukas, Jabba and Dakota. We all know what happened with Lukas and Jabba :) Dakota did not like being a show dog, so instead of making her endure a life she did not enjoy, we decided to allow her to be a couch potato. One day I received a call from Beverly who was looking for a pet. Although I was not 100% sure I wanted to give up Dakota, as she was a companion to my son who has Type 1 diabetes and alerted us when he was having issues. Beverly seemed to really want a pug and had a very hard time locating one. So we decided to meet her at the vets, while Dakota was having her check up. Dakota being shy, like her mom, ended up taking to Beverly fairly quickly. We decided that maybe this was a better solution for Dakota. We allowed her to adopt her. Like all of Pekeapug kids, she is co-owned by me so that if and when there are issues they will come back to us. It turns out that Beverly also has diabetes and Dakota alerts her when she requires food as her blood sugars are low. Dakota was out walking one day in the winter and a photographer from the Edmonton Sun snapped this picture, well a couple of days later it was on msnbc.com, a star is born! Dakota and her story have also been showcased at the Alberta Provincial Museum in the "Woof to Wolf" exhibit. So proud of the care and love that Beverly has provided to our Diamond in the Ruff........
Darcy and Enzo - A rescue RI{ Enzo, never will you be forgotten

This is the Day I met Darcy and she met Enzo in November 2009. It was the beginning of the happiest day in his life. Enzo has grown hair back and loves being with his mom.
Darcy and Enzo - November 2011

An updated picture of Darcy and Enzo. The Pug Club of Canada received a heart warming email from Darcy on the second anniversary of her meeting Enzo for the first time. Darcy and Enzo are an inspiration to all people that want to rescue pugs. The unconditional love that Enzo shows for Darcy is amazing .... Love to you both!!!
Jeremy and Bella - A rescue - RIP beautiful girl

Bella came to us the same time as Enzo. Bella is a pug cross but she had the sweetest temperment of any pug. This is the day that Bella met Jeremy for the first time. Jeremy's heart just beamed this day and I am so grateful for the love that they showed this special girl. Bella's life was cut short due to heart failure. Forever in our hearts.
Cora, Patty and their families - 2 rescues and a Pekeapug pup purchase.

Cora the girl on the left (when looking at the picture) is a rescue brought to Pekeapug. Cora had an eye issue and the "pet store" that had her could not take the time to fix it. Cora was adopted out after she was spayed to a great family. Her friend Sasha, the other fawn pug and Patty, one of Pekeapug's purchased pugs. The three of them have a great life with their humans and pugs.
Mia - A Pekeapug rescue RIP Mia, your dance will live on in our hearts forever
